The problem we couldn't ignore

In early 2026, we noticed something strange. Every B2B buyer we spoke to started their vendor research on ChatGPT or Perplexity — not Google. But when we asked marketing teams how often AI recommended their product, the answer was always the same: “We have no idea.”

SEO tools showed keyword rankings. Social tools showed engagement. But there was zero visibility into the most important discovery channel of the decade: AI recommendations.

So we built Citora. Not as an SEO bolt-on. Not as a feature. As a category-defining platform that treats AI-search visibility with the same rigor SEO brought to Google rankings.
